Deputy Residential Manager (Elderly and Dementia)

Compass Associates are proud to be working for a valued client to recruit a Deputy Manager for their Residential dementia and elderly service based in the Chelmsford area. This is a new position, and the successful candidate will need to have genuine passion for dementia and elderly with strong Deputy Manager experience to include safeguarding and compliance.         

The Candidate         

Reporting into the Home Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance in the home as well managing a team. You must have at least three years' experience working in a deputy role within an elderly and dementia care setting with a proven track record. The ideal candidate for this position would have a passion and keen interest in dementia and elderly care, a clinical background may also be considered.  You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and relationship building skills, have a management qualification in care.         

Requirements          

NVQ 3 in care or other relevant qualification.

Experience of carrying out Care Plans.

Knowledge of the care sector elderly residential with a special interest in dementia care.

Knowledge of regulatory framework relating to care homes.

Experience in HR, Appraisals, On-boarding and inductions.

Able to deal with CQC notifications.

Ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal & communication skills both written & verbal.

Summary    

My client is seeking a Deputy Manager with exposure to residential home management where the successful candidate can lead and inspire a team. In exchange my client is offering a salary of £11.73 per hour.            

Location            

This home is based in the Chelmsford area and is commutable from Southend-on-Sea, Colchester,  Bishop's Stortford and other surrounding areas.
