Staff Nurse - Low Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Hospital

We are looking for qualified Mental Health Nurses ( we will also consider Learning Disabilities Nurses with Mental Health Experience ) for permanent roles within a 22 bed Male Mental Health rehabilitation service in Battersea. We can consider both part time and full time with salaries of up to £18.50 per hour

Service type: Low Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation

• Location: Battersea
• Salary: up to £18.50 per hour - negotiable dependant on experience
• Hours: Full Time or Part Time hours available - you can choose depending on preference, the service can be flexible (options of: 22.5 hours, 33 hours or 35.75 hours per week)
• Shifts: 12.5 hour shifts - Days or nights are available or a mixture of both - 7.30am - 8pm (days) and 7.30pm - 8am (nights) and you will receive 2 hour break

The service is a low secure independent hospital providing safe and secure assessment, care and on-going treatment facilities for 22 male patients aged 18 years and over with severe and enduring mental illness and additional complex behaviour.

The environment is modern and finished to a high standard promoting a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for people in our care, and all bedrooms offer en suite facilities including adaptations to support disability. Gym facilities are also available.

We provide a high quality, safe and secure environment which encourages the development of skills and competencies. We do this by offering individualised treatments and specially tailored groups which help in eliminating inappropriate behaviour and establishing appropriate patterns of coping and problem solving. We work closely with referring clinical teams to ensure that people in our care are able to return to their home areas at the appropriate time.

Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Hospital offers a structured and thorough 2 week induction programme, which will include various training courses. Nurses will also have access to clear and structured development programmes where nurses can see clear pathways to progression within the hospital. Nurses will also have access to training opportunities to develop and enhance your nursing skills. Nurses will receive ongoing support from your Manager. Training and development is one of the major ethos' of the hospital. There are no limits to training and development as the hospital will fund any training course you would like to do that is relevant to your job role.
