Job Description

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You may have previous experience of working in a GMP production environment or laboratory setting and be able to show you can work accurately, efficiently and follow procedures at all times. Due to the critical nature of our work you will have to meet the highest standards of discipline, personal hygiene, attention to detail and clean room behaviour.

Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • GSCE English and Maths and Science Grade A to C or equivalent
  • NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 2 - optional units: relevant to pharmacy practice area or equivalent


Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3


Skills
Essential criteria
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of GMP and QA in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate information effectively using clear written and spoken English
  • Demonstrated good manual dexterity to undertake fine and accurate manipulative work
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately follow written and oral instructions


Experience
Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working in a NHS or commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing environment undertaking aseptic manufacture of medicines


Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working in a hospital or laboratory environment
