Job Description
About The Role
Are you an experienced nurse looking for a rewarding role? You’ll find a friendly welcome and a home for your talents at Practice Plus Group. With us, you will be able to apply your knowledge, skills and experience in a pre-arranged, non-emergency care environment, allowing you to focus on delivering a first class service to your patients. We are looking for an Ophthalmology Nurse to join our team.
Practice Plus Group Hospital, Plymouth has been rated Outstanding by the CQC*, putting it at the very top of the regulator’s quality ratings, which means that you can be sure you are part of a team providing safe, reliable and patient-focused care.
You will be a valued member of our professional and experienced multidisciplinary team, coordinating the patient’s journey from pre-admission to discharge. You will organise and undertake pre-operative assessments, including specialised biometry and ophthalmic measurements of patients, ensuring that they are fit for surgery. In addition you will participate in the ongoing development of the ophthalmology service within the hospital.
About The Candidate
As an NMC registered General Nurse, you will have recent experience in ophthalmology, outpatient and pre-assessment, as well as training in physical examination. Extensive and relevant experience in acute care or elective surgery nursing is key for this role, as well as up to date hands on clinical skills including, phlebotomy, IV drug administration and performing ECG’s.
About The Company
In turn we will support you to help you grow in your role and take your career in the direction you want to go. When you’re part of the Practice Plus Group team, you don’t just have a job. You have a career. If you want to move up the ladder, we’ll support you. If you just want to stay in your role, that’s fine too. We’ll help you be the best you can be.
We want our team members to feel motivated and rewarded. So we offer a competitive package of pay and benefits. We also recognise the value of a healthy work-life balance – so we always try to be flexible, helping you fit your working life around your home life.
