Spire Murrayfield Hospital is currently looking to recruit for a Patient Services Administrator on a full time and permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and have a great impact.

The roles purpose is to provide a high quality service to meet the expectations of the internal customer, using excellent social skills and a positive approach to customer care. A high level of customer contact is a key part of this dual role, and a high level of professionalism is required at all.

You will be required to develop skills in both areas. In this role you will be expected to flex within both departments.

The hours are on a rota basis, between Monday to Friday (7:30 am to 6 pm). The shift patterns would be either 07:30 -15:00 ,09:00-17:00 or 10:00-18:00

Once Saturdays are in place this would be on a 1 in 6 basis Saturdays ( or 9:00- 1:00pm) (Rate enhanced for the weekend)

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintain and update patient records on the hospital computer system
• Process payments / collect credit card details both over the telephone and face to face
• Receive bookings and liaise with internal departments via the telephone
• Face to face liaison with patients and consultants providing information where requested and making appointments
• Match referrals to clinics

Who we're looking for:

• Previous relevant experience in an administrative support role
• Experience of working independently and on own initiative
• Comfortable working to deadlines and ability to work under pressure
• A real team player
• Previous experience in healthcare (Desirable)
