Job Description

Please see the attached Applicant Information Pack (combined Job Description and Person Specification) for key duties and responsibilities.
This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS clearance and as a result, you will be required to pay the associated fee of £38.00. This fee will be deducted from your second month's salary.
Interviews are due to be held in the week commencing 18 July 2022.
The closing date is 10 July 2022.

Person specification

Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • • Degree Level Qualification • Registered Clinical Psychologist with evidence of a HCPC number • Evidence of continuous professional development
Desirable criteria
  • • Research Module • Post registration qualification in speciality • Additional specialist training related to working with children, young people and their families and carers, including additional specialist training in assessment of and working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental concerns
Experience
Essential criteria
  • • Significant relevant experience in the Specialty and ability to demonstrate role in psychology services • Previous experience of delivering clinical psychology services within a research environment • Accept personal accountability for own practice
Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • • Understanding of evidence-based practice • Understanding of Clinical Governance • Knowledge of clinical research infrastructure in the UK and relevant Research Governance legislation and regulations • Understanding of the requirements of Good Clinical Practice and possession of GCP Certificate • Knowledge of health research methodology • Knowledge and experience of child protection and safeguarding issues and procedures
Skills
Essential criteria
  • • Effective interpersonal skills • Demonstrate analytical and judgmental skills • Ability to quickly appraise situation and act accordingly • Competent in the use of standard PC packages (Windows, MS Excel, Access, etc.)
Additional Requirements
Essential criteria
  • The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of Safe, Kind, Excellent. • To act in a professional manner at all times • Capable of developing liaisons with other practice areas / academic institutions
