Lead Occupational Health Nurse role, Central London offering up to £45k per year, Monday to Friday, Full -Time Permanent, 37.5hours, working for a not-for-profit organisation.

We have partnered with a leading private hospital organisation offering care across a range of medical and surgical interventions. They have a vacancy for a Lead Occupational Health Nurse to provide a comprehensive Occupational Health service for the hospital.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

The overall responsibility working in this role is to identify and prevent work related problems. You will work to promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of employees, with the aim of ensuring a positive relationship between an employee's work and health. Working as the Lead Occupational Health Nurse you will have full occupational health remit, pre-employment medicals / assessments, including case management, health surveillance, health screening, fitness for work and will manage the case load amongst the team. Your role will involve delivering / support health and wellbeing initiatives and campaigns and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and employees to keep people healthy and in work. As the Lead you will also be involved in creating or updating policies, procedures and processes owned by OH department. You will conduct risk assessments where required and advise on and support the requirement for statutory health surveillance. Part of your role will also include COVID-19 monitoring and advice.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered RGN with NMC pin number
  • OH qualification recorded on part 3 of the NMC register
  • Experience working in an OH environment and managing a team
  • Ability to set strategy and work in a complex environment and under pressure where required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong Leadership skills
