Experienced advanced practitioners without haematology or oncology experience are invited to apply if they feel they have the necessary transferable skills, enthusiasm, and adaptability to learn, if successfully shortlisted this will be assessed further at interview.

Part-Time and Flexible working options will be considered. Currently the advanced nurse practitioner team cover 7 days a week and work Applyshifts, night shift cover is provided by the inpatient ward nursing staff and on call medical rota. These shift times and days may be subject to change due to ongoing service development.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria

• RN current registration with NMC
• Higher Degree in related specialism or working towards
• Advanced practice module: Physical Examination
• Advanced practice module: Pathophysiology and diagnostic reasoning

Desirable criteria

• Independent prescribing qualification V300
• Masters level modules

Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria

• Significant experience in specialty (oncology/haematology)
• Teaching experience
• Demonstrable leadership skills
• Experience as a nurse practitioner
• Experience of developing a service
• Experience in an acute setting

Desirable criteria

• Chemotherapy experience

Clinical & Diagnostic Skills
Essential criteria

• Clinical examination skills
• Diagnostic reasoning skills
• Clinical decision making skills

Desirable criteria
