Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • • Degree level education or equivalent experience • Masters Degree or equivalent experience • Evidence of continuous professional development • Recognised project management qualification at foundation level, e.g. PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • • MBA or equivalent • Additional post graduate qualifications • Any NHS accredited leadership training or development programmes.
Experience
Essential criteria
  • • Demonstrable experience in leading or managing the delivery of large, complex, long term (3yrs +) corporate projects that have strategic implications. • Extensive specialist knowledge of project management practices, tools and techniques, and effective risk and issue management. • Specialist knowledge of change management or organisational development. • Specialist knowledge of problem solving tools, techniques and approaches applied in a multi-disciplinary and cross-organisational environment. • Experience of prioritising and managing conflicting workload, both personal and that of a team. • Experience of managing staff and delivering a work programme to time and budget. • Experience in building and maintaining working relationships at a senior level. • Experience in holding and monitoring budgets and undertaking audits of activity or developing long term business plans and forecasting.
Desirable criteria
  • • Demonstrable experience of working in the NHS, and in particular the acute hospital environment, either in a clinical or non-clinical setting. • Demonstrable experience in a health or care based environment. • Consultancy based skills or experience working in a business consultancy organisation. • Transformational change or pathway redesign in a clinical setting.

  • • Excellent knowledge of acute provider clinical operations • Specialist knowledge of project management practices, tools and techniques, and effective risk and issue management • Ability to interpret national guidance and disseminate/assess impact to the programme and team • Ability to implement local polices to improve project management practices, tools and techniques, and effective risk and issue management
Desirable criteria
  • • Understanding of programmes of work that are complex or involve transformational change-based programmes across health economies • Knowledge of NHS finance (revenue & cost models) and business case processes
