Right now, we are looking for a Care assistant to develop their career at our home located in Horsham, West Sussex
Having experience in a healthcare background is essential ideally with an NVQ level 3 as well as a passion for care and making a difference to people's lives.

Our Home provides is a friendly care home, offering nursing, residential dementia and nursing dementia care.

- Position: Senior Care Assistant
- Care Categories: Dementia Care and General older aged Adult Care (Nursing home)
- Negotiable Salary: up to £10.44 per hour £23,886 per annum based on 44 hours
- Hours: Full time hours (33 hours and/or 44 hours options available)
- Flexible Shifts: Day shifts /Night shifts or Mixed are available depending on your preference 8/8 start and finish times (All shifts are 12 hours)

A typical day will involve:
- Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care. Providing the highest standards of care, you'll champion the dignity, and independence of all our residents
- Supporting the Nurse or Senior Care Assistant to complete monthly and weekly checks to monitor the health of our residents and reporting any significant changes
- Administering medication in line with our medication policy and assist in keeping accurate records
- Supporting at mealtimes: serving meals and transferring residents to the dining room. This might involve supporting them to walk, transferring them in a wheelchair or using a hoist
- Attending planned activities: assisting the team, repositioning, providing care as necessary and taking part in day trips outside the home (day shift only)
- Repositioning residents to ensure they are comfortable and supported
- Admin duties: updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans
- Comprehensive induction, on-going training and development, access to internal apprenticeship schemes
- Your DBS Check (£40) paid for
- workplace pension
- 28 days annual leave (inclusive of statutory bank holidays)
