About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and ambitious Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. You will have good team leading skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This post is based at the Wellington Hospital located in the vibrant St John's Wood area of London.

In this role, you will be working alongside a small team of Senior Technicians to adapt and improve the existing processes within Patient Services. You will be one of three Senior Technicians who will lead and develop the team and service across dispensary, distribution and procurement.

You will manage a team of pharmacy assistants and pharmacy technicians working within the busy pharmacy dispensary providing dispensing services to inpatients, outpatients and day-case patients. Your role will be instrumental in the management of the timely supply of medicines to patients and hoping to facilitate a streamlined workflow ensuring key performance targets are met.

Skills and experience

• NVQ Level 3 or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or an equivalent pharmacy technician qualification
• Accredited Checker (ACPT)
• GPhC Registration
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong initiative and commitment, with a 'can do' attitude to work
• Good organisation, leadership and problem-solving skills.
