Outpatient Bookings Advisor | Administration, Customer Service | Cardiff | Full Time, Permanent | Monday - Friday | Free Parking, Excellent Benefits |

Spire Cardiff Hospital are looking to bring on an Outpatient Bookings Advisor to join their established team. You will be responsible for pr oviding exceptional customer service to patients through all aspects of appointments. This is a permanent, full time position working Monday - Friday with no weekends or bank holidays required.

Duties and responsibilities
  • To provide an excellent and effective customer service for all patients, customers and hospital staff.
  • Receive inbound telephone enquiries and process in a proactive and efficient manner ensuring patients have correct information and a positive customer service experience.
  • To ensure all appointments are effectively managed, booked and updated in accordance with the requirements of the patient booking system. You will also ensure call management/telephone targets for all calls are achieved in a timely and positive manner.
  • To liaise with GPs, consultants, their secretaries and hospital staff to proactively facilitate the booking and updating of appointments. This may result in additional clinics being sought and opened.
  • To provide elements of administrative assistance to other departments within the hospital and ensure correct appointment packs are prepared and sent to the patient with the correct postage/timeline.
  • The ability to be flexible within the working week to support business and role requirements.
  • To support the business and or patients' needs by adhering to any reasonable management requests.
  • To pro-actively produce solutions to all complaints raised and effectively manage expectations whilst working within the company complaints procedure.

Who we're looking for
  • Has come from a previous role where you have ideally dealt with a high volume of calls coming from customers.
  • Customer Service experience is essential.
  • Fully computer literate (Microsoft office suit) (E)
  • First class oral and written communication skills (E)
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours when required (E)
  • Motivated, enthusiastic able to work as part of a team and own initiative (E)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills (E)
