Job Description
The role presents the suitable applicant with an opportunity to join a bright and dynamic Department of over 210 anaesthetic consultants across the Trust, and you will be mentored and supported to flourish in your career.
Desirable experiences would include experience in different hospitals / departments where opportunities to develop leadership and management experience have been fully utilized. Evidence of team working is essential.

Person specification
Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- MBChB or equivalent
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent e.g. FRCA
- Completion of higher training in Anaesthesia should be on the specialist register or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview.
- Adult Life Support and Advanced Paediatric Life Support Certification or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Registration as trainer with General Medical Council
Teaching and Audit
Essential criteria
- Teaching medical students
- Experience of Audit
- Teaching junior medical staff
Desirable criteria
- Participation in national audit
- GMC recognition as an educational superviso
