Job Description
- Supporting patients to function to their optimal ability in their This will range from encouraging self care to providing total physical care depending on the needs of the patient.
- Maintaining and promoting a safe environment taking account of infection control and identifying and reporting hazards and risks in a timely manner
- Escorting and transporting patients as required as part of their care
- Driving unit vehicles as per needs of the service and as individual capabilities
- Depending on the environment, serving food/assisting with cooking and promoting healthy choices as required to meet individual care plan
- Working a full range of shifts as per the requirements of the May also be required, at times, to work at other Trust units and/or sites.
- Physically able to carry out all duties required of the care setting, following successful completion of physical interventions training as required.
Person specificationQualificationEssential criteria
- RMN completion of Preceptorship programme
- Experience of Mental Health
- Evidence of recent Practice
Desirable criteria
- Practice development
- Older Adult Knowledge
- Leadership knowledge and further training
KnowledgeEssential criteria
- Mentel Health Legislation
- Safeguarding and ability to apply principles
- Clinical effectiveness and patient experience
- Person Centered care planning
- Good IT Skills
- Medication Competency
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in reports
- Knowledge of NMC guidelines and revalidation
Desirable criteria
- Experience co-ordinating shifts
- Experience managing or supervising lower grade staff
- Clinical reflection evidence
