Job Description

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Successful applicant must be able to lead and motivate teams with a high degree of self-motivation, have an experience of people management and a keen attention to detail. The post holder must be IT literate and have the ability to navigate trust IT systems. The ideal candidate should have some understanding of National cancer waiting targets, experience in RTT and PTL validation is a must.

The successful candidate will be adaptable, have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. The ability to multi task and use initiative in a busy environment is essential.

The post holder is expected to take a proactive approach to addressing targets and deadlines, addressing any issues impacting on service delivery, all whilst ensuring the smooth running of the service in a busy environment. You will be a dedicated, well organised and adaptable Individual, with a good attention to detail.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to HNC/Equivalent Diploma/equivalent experience
  • GCSE Maths & English


Experience
Essential criteria
  • Significant experience of staff supervision/ staff management including recruitment/ retention /appraisal /first line disciplinary and knowledge of budget management issues
  • Have significantly contributed to meeting operational objectives
  • Experience of delivering Administrative and Clerical Outpatient Services


Desirable criteria
  • Have significantly contributed to meeting strategic objectives
  • Experience of delivering services on a multi-site basis


Skills
Essential criteria
  • Leadership and influencing skills
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Highly motivated and ability to work independently
  • Ability to respond to changing demands
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills
