This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS clearance and as a result, you will be required to pay the associated fee of £38.00. This fee will be deducted from your second month's salary.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • • RGN/RN/RCN Level 1
Desirable criteria
  • • Diploma / Degree or equivalent • Research Experience • Recent attendance on a leadership development programme • Experience in Colorectal nursing • Teaching certificate of equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
  • • Experience at Band 6 level • Scope of practice skills • Success in working collaboratively across professions and services • Demonstrable understanding of managing change
Desirable criteria
  • • Computer experience • Experience of Senior Sister post • Experience of Intestinal failure • Experience of artificial feeding
Skills
Essential criteria
  • • Leadership skills • Clinically competent • Human Resources management • Teaching skills • Awareness of budget management • Evidence of professional development • Awareness of current nursing research • A safe practitioner with the potential to work effectively in a busy clinic environment • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team • Ability to identify priorities and organsie workload • Good verbal communication skills • Good written communication skills • Ability to manage staff • Ability to assess learning needs and teach in a clinic environment • Ability to support the development of HCA's/NA's • Approachable; strong team leader; motivated; and committed
