Job Description

Lead Theatre Practitioner

Up to £42,000 (37.5hrs pw)

Guildford, Surrey

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Britain's leading providers of independent healthcare. This is within an organisation with a nationwide network of hospitals and clinics, performing routine procedures through to complex surgeries. Our client is looking for a full time Lead Theatre Practitioner to join their team in their theatres department. The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures and has 3 theatres.

Located in Guildford, this is a full-time role with flexible shifts available. The Hospital also also offers free parking.

Applications from both nurses and ODP's are welcomed.

Requirements:

  • Registered practitioner with qualifications including NMC or HCPC.
  • 5+ years working in Theatres and at least 1 year in a senior role.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in coordination, ordering, first assistant, mentor, over view of leading other.
  • Must have extensive scrub experience in a number of specialities and able to lead a team.
  • First Surgical Assistant certificate
  • Additional skills in recovery and anaesthetics

Duties:

  • To deliver safe quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care.
  • To support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department.
  • To lead and manage a team, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements within a peri-operative function or surgical specialty.
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care.
