A highly enthusiastic Endoscopy Nurse is required to join a friendly and experienced team in the Endoscopy department at a private hospital in Newcastle Upon Tyne

The service is a modern, state-of-the-art healthcare facility offering patients a wide range of integrated surgical, medical and diagnostic services.

• A competitive annual salary offered up to £33,500, depending on experience

• A permanent contract of 37.5 per week on day shifts

As Endoscopy Nurse duties will include pre-assessments, admitting patients into the endoscopy unit, assisting the consultants and discharging patients from the unit, and you will participate in general endoscopy procedures and scrub for some minor surgeries

Applicants for this Endoscopy Nurse position should meet the following criteria:

• NMC registered Adult Nurse/RGN or HCPC Registered Theatre Practitioner/ODP

• Ideally have decontamination and audit experience

• Demonstrate current endoscopy experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexible to meet the needs of the department

• Good understanding of quality standards in a theatre setting
