This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS clearance and as a result, you will be required to pay the associated fee of £38.00. This fee will be deducted from your second month's salary.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • 1. RN (Child) educated to Degree level or equivalent. 2. Teaching and assessing qualification or PgCert. 3. Post registration qualification in speciality. 4. Evidence of continuous professional development. 5. Advanced communication skills/counselling qualification or willingness to undertake.
Desirable criteria
  • Advanced clinical assessment Post registration study relevant to post / enrolled in Masters programme
Experience
Essential criteria
  • 2. Accept personal accountability for own practice. 3. Experience of formal/informal teaching. 4. Experience of initiating change.. 5. Experience in leading a team or in routinely coordinating a shift on a children's ward.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience working on both a medical and a surgical ward
Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • 1. Understanding of evidence-based practice. 2. Understanding of Clinical Governance. 3. Understanding of patient pathway, its complexities and how to support the patient through this.
Skills
Essential criteria
  • 3. Ability to deliver education and training programmes.. 4. Good verbal and written communication skills 8. Leadership Skills.
Desirable criteria
  • Ability to develop protocols and guidelines for practice
Additional Requirements
Essential criteria
  • The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of safe, kind, excellent.
