Detailed job description and main responsibilities1. Managing Self
  • Participate in regular supervision (both Management & Clinical)
  • Be able to work independently
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • High level of written and oral communication
  • Be able to make independent clinical decisions
  • Attend all mandatory training.
  • Participate annually identifying, developing, and agreeing your own development plan with your line manager using the Trust Appraisal process.
  • Comply with all Trust policies, procedures and protocols including Professional appearance policy.
  • Pay regard to materials and equipment.
  • Carry out duties with due regard to the Trust's Equal Opportunity Policy.
  • Seek advice and support from your line manager whenever necessary.
  • Staff Supervision and Support
    • Supports the wider Court MH Nurses through organised meetings and peer support groups provided by the West Yorkshire Liaison & Diversion Service.
    • Provides training and mentorship to students.
    • Supports the maintenance of good working relationships across different professions, disciplines, and teams.
  • Safeguarding
    All staff members have a duty to report any concerns they have about the safety or well being of adult service users, members of their families, including children. Employees should be aware of their roles & responsibilities to both prevent and respond appropriately to abuse. They should undertake the safeguarding training required for their particular role.

    Qualifications
    Essential criteria
    • •Registered Mental Health Nursing Certificate (RMN)
    • •Current Registration on part 3 or part13 of NMC register or other professional register for a minimum of 3 Per Years


    Desirable criteria
    • Professional qualification at Diploma/Degree level


    Experience
    Essential criteria
    • cent experience of completing first assessments and making autonomous clinical risk decisions.
    • •Experience of utilising theoretical and practical knowledge to engage and assess people with complex mental health needs
    • •Ability to produce written reports
    • •Experience of carrying out complex risk assessment and the management of associated risks
    • •Demonstrate ability to be flexible, self-motivated, and work in M.D.T. setting and ability to work with Partnership agencies.
    • •The post holder will have the ability to independently coordinate the care of a defined set of service users including complex situations and offer support to junior members of the service as required.
    • •Will ensure junior staff have defined tasks that contribute to the clinical care of the service users as defined
    • •Will cover and support team members during times of annual leave or unexpected leave of absences.
    • •To use professional judgement and exercise professional accountability in all aspects of clinical practice
