Job Description

Main duties of the job

You would be responsible for your own caseload and would work closely with the clinical team to provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to service users within a specialist mental health setting.

You would work alongside an established team of Occupational Therapists and support staff to deliver a clinical programme of individual and group work.

You would also have the opportunity to contribute to service developments.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To manage a defined caseload using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in hospital settings and record all interventions.

To abide by the Royal College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and the Royal College of Occupational Therapy Professional Standards for OT Practice.

To develop skills and knowledge through participation in a Professional Development Planning process to meet the competency framework.

To work within an inpatient mental health setting including secure services, providing a service to patients who are deemed to have complex and challenging needs.
