Newly Qualified Nurse - Specialist Respiratory Centre - NHS Training + Enhancements

We specialise in long-term respiratory support, both non-invasive ventilation and invasive ventilation, and in 'weaning' patients from invasive mechanical ventilation.

The Centre continues to improve the way that complex respiratory patients and their families are supported on the journey from a critical care environment, returning home or to a long term facility. The centre provides the vital step between dependence and home through specialist support from a team of Consultants and respiratory specialist Nurses, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists

• Staff Nurse
  ( RMN, RGN, RNLD )
• Annual Salary
  - £28,000 per annum plus generous enhancements inline with NHS agenda for change
• Hours:
  Full Time and Part Time hours can be considered
• Shifts
  : - 12 hour shift pattern. We can consider days only and also fixed shift patterns to match your requirements
• Permanent

About the Service:

• This is a purpose built service only 5 years old with state of the art facilities
• Staffing levels are high working on a 2:1 basis there are over 45 nurses within the 20 bed service in addition to the multi disciplinary team including at least 5 Therapies, 6 Consultants (Including Professors), 3 Junior Docs, 2 Research fellows, plus huge support from The NHS Trust with other disciplines.
• We offer a dedicated preceptorship programme for newly qualified Nurses and extended training for band 5 nurses with university accredited courses accelerating nurses to Band 6 positions in addition to the NHS training on offer

Are you...

• A Newly Qualified / Preceptor Nurse ( RGN ) Registered with or awaiting on your registration with the NMC
• Interested in respiratory and mechanical ventilation with a willingness to learn
• A Team worker and good communicator
• Interested in working in a challenging environment
• Interested or experienced in Acute Care / ICU care
