Offering three months free initial accommodation - we are seeking a committed and experienced Ward and Community Nurse to join our client's Nursing team at the local Hospital on the beautiful Isle of Alderney, in the Channel Islands.
The site has 14 Continuing-Care beds and 8 Acute-Care beds are used for medical, post-operative surgical, maternity or paediatric care.
You will rotate across all areas of care, including acute admissions, elderly care and treatment rooms, while also providing community healthcare services as may be required.
You will act as a supervisor to nursing auxiliaries, and act on behalf of senior staff in their absence.

This is a unique local hospital, delivering a diverse range of healthcare services for the almost 2,300 people of Alderney, overseen by the larger Channel Island Guernsey who has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Band 5 salary is up to £39,560 plus an annual bonus of £1,350 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

The island of Alderney is in the Channel Islands, located near Guernsey and not far from the French coast.
The island boasts elegant beaches, historic fortifications, and a small castle, all part of a unique island community.

Person requirements:
Registered Nurse with full registration with the NMC.
A minimum of one year post-registration experience
A very flexible approach to a totally unique rural and remote setting.
