Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Emergency Nurse Practitioner to work in a fast paced , dynamic emergency department. Trafford Urgent Treatment Centre is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, highly motivated individual to come and join our Emergency Nurse Practitioner team.

There will be opportunities to progress and develop your existing skills. The urgent treatment centre has a strong education and learning focus, and the successful applicant will be expected to actively participate in the teaching and training of student and junior ENPs.

You will have responsibility for the assessment, evaluation and implementation of care for patients presenting with minor injuries. Using your established clinical skills, you will work independently as an ENP to deliver high-quality, evidence based care to this client group, with the support of the clinical lead.

You will be expected to develop your scope of practice within local Trust guideline and policies. You will demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to care delivery and service improvement in order to work in this highly desirable area with a proactive multidisciplinary team.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse
  • Diploma/degree in nursing related subject
  • Experience working as ENP
  • Teaching qualification in minor injuries


Desirable criteria
  • Masters level study
  • Management qualification
  • ENP portfollio of competencies

We may decide to close this vacancy earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.

This mandatory requirement may apply to this position. If it does apply, you will be asked to provide evidence of vaccinations / exemption as part of the employment checks if you are offered the position.
