Job Description

Lead Nurse ( RMN / RNLD ) - An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior RMN or RNLD ( Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse ) to work within a very positive, friendly and supportive specialist rehabilitation service for men living with a learning disability and / or complex conditions such as personality disorder, mental health and forensic issues.
  • Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
  • Salary: Up to £42,657 per annum - negotiable depending on your experience
  • Hours: Full Time are available

Hospital Details: 18 bedded Male Rehabilitation service that specialise in care for Adult Males (18+) dealing with Mental Health Illnesses as well as Personality Disorders

Responsibilities:

To manage the cost, delivery and quality of healthcare services

- Gathering and analysing data and using it to plan and manage both projects and systems

- Planning and implementing service developmental changes to improve service delivery

- Liaison with Regional Lead Nurse re strategic planning of service developments in the context of Complex Care division

- Contributing to Complex Care's strategic planning

- Actively support the implementation of Clinical Audit Programmes

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

- Registered Qualified Nurse or Allied Professional with at least 5 years' experience, 2 of which is a line management capacity

- A professional qualification that supports clinical management

- Leadership/general management qualification and/or experience

- Have an interest in the sector and identification with the common values and aims of the service/group

- An emphasis on the achievement of results and both the energy and enthusiasm to ensure that objectives are met

- Initiative and leadership skills and the ability to gain the trust, commitment and cooperation of others

- An understanding of clinical concerns, including the understanding of treatments and evolving medical technologies

The Team: The Service has a full MDT (Multidisciplinary team) comprising of a Consultant, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, OT, Social Worker, Support and Administration Staff. The aim is to work as a close team providing a holistic range of assessments and treatments.

Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Service offers a structured and thorough 2 week induction programme, which will include various training courses. Nurses will also have access to clear and structured development programmes where nurses can see clear pathways to progression within the hospital. Nurses will also have access to training opportunities to develop and enhance your nursing skills. Nurses will receive ongoing support from your Manager. Training and development is one of the major ethos' of the hospital. There are no limits to training and development as the service will fund any training course you would like to do that is relevant to your job role.
