Job Description

We are Manchester Local Care Organisation- an exciting, public sector organisation
bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in the city.

people and we provide key services that work across wider localities and city-wide.

people in our city and we are looking for you to join our team and help us do this.

We have a number of Band 6 District Nursing Sister posts available in our friendly,
hardworking teams based in the community in Gorton. We serve a diverse population within Manchester with a busy home
visiting and treatment room caseload. The post holders will manage a caseload and
work alongside the Band 7 District Nursing Team Lead, community nurses and
nursing associates to deliver high quality care to the patients referred to the service.
The posts are full time but we will consider part time/job share applications.

This role requires the postholder to undertake duties within a care home setting. In accordance with the Coronavirus Act 2020, prior to the take up of this position. The successful applicant will be required to provide evidence they have received two doses of an authorised vaccine , or provide evidence of medical exemption in accordance with the Covid 19 Regulations. This verification will be required at or before interview / selection. Interested applicants must ensure this verification is available to be produced when requested.

We may decide to close this vacancy earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.

This mandatory requirement may apply to this position. If it does apply, you will be asked to provide evidence of vaccinations / exemption as part of the employment checks if you are offered the position.
