Job Description

Band 5 Staff Nurse Ward F16/ Women's Health

A vacancy has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse on the Women's Health Unit/ Ward F16. The position is a fixed term contract as the post holder is currently on maternity leave. We are looking for someone who can work full time but would also consider part time workers. The post holder will be expected to cover nights and weekends.

Ward F16 comprises of a 19 inpatient unit. We also have Out Patient Services comprising of Gynae pre-op, and work closely with the Emergency Gynae Unit, which is situated on our ward.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual that is looking for a new challenge, or is interested in learning more about the specialty of Gynaecology.

You must be a team player, display excellent communication and organizational skills.

Gynaecology services are delivered at Manchester Foundation Trust across 3 sites (St Mary's Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and Trafford Hospital). This post is for the Wythenshawe Hospital Site.

We may decide to close this vacancy earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
