Job Description

Newly Qualified Nurse - RGN / RMN / RNLD

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Salary: £16.28 per hour ( £32,592.56 - £37,248.64) per annum ) + £1,500 welcome bonus

Hours : Full Time and Part Time hours available - Options of 22, 33, 38.5 or 44 hours per week

Shifts: Options of Days only or Nights only or Mixed shifts - you can choose depending on your preference. 6 or 12 hour shifts available.

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified preceptorship nurse to work within a very welcoming, warm and person-centred specialist Care Home for adults with a learning disability and/or autism , and who have complex and high acuity needs.

Their Nurse/Support Worker ratio is amongst some of the best in the UK, with the home's average ratio being 6 Support Workers to every Nurse, and one nurse to 10 service users! Due to the Care Homes uniquely high staffing levels there will always be another nurse on site as well as a clinical lead, so you can be assured the absolute best level of support.
  • The Care Home has a lively and positive atmosphere and they always have something going on for the service users to get involved with, from thrilling days out to Alton Towers to sunflower growing competitions.
  • The Care Home have a strong commitment to provide support for newly qualified nurses. This is via a purpose built, structured and comprehensive preceptorship programme. This programme will be completed over a 12 week period where you will be a fully supernumerary nurse. This allows you to fully immerse yourself into learning all aspects of your new role, whilst having a nurse mentor to work alongside.

  • A newly qualified or experienced Registered Nurse ( RGN , RMN or RNLD ) ? The Care Home welcomes applications from General Nurses, Mental Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses. Full training and support will be given by your own designated mentor.
