You are invited to apply to lead this exceptional and dynamic new service. The staff mental health wellbeing service is commissioned by NHS England to support NHS and Social Care staff. The service was commissioned in response to the Covid 19 pandemic, recognising the negative impact on staff wellbeing and staff's mental health. The service works across the Kent and Medway Integrated Care System delivering to all NHS services as well as Social Care staff.

The service provides rapid mental health assessment for staff via a website and portal. This is supported by a range of clinicians who assess, signpost and support staff. There is also a team of clinicians who work in partnership with the Kent and Medway IAPT providers, delivering assessment and brief interventions to Acute hospital sites.

The newly formed team includes a range of clinicians. You work closely with the Strategic and Clinical lead to deliver and develop further this service.

The newly formed team includes a range of clinicians. You work closely with the Strategic and Clinical lead to deliver and develop further this service.

The role will include but may not be limited to the following:-
  • You will lead on delivering this clinical service across the Kent and Medway Integrated Care System
  • You will work with the Communications Lead to ensure the service is appropriately promoted in order to ensure inclusion
  • You will lead on partnership work, for example the IAPT providers across the county.
  • You will work with NHSE-improvement to link into others delivering the pilot across the South East
  • You will deliver the key elements required in the pilot and the outcomes required of the pilot
  • You will lead on performance reporting to NHSE and ensuring all targets are met.
  • You must have experience at working at a senior level, working across systems and leading new developments.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Lead on the development of the Mental Health (MH) wellbeing hub for the Kent and Medway System. Whilst the post holder will be working for KMPT they are expected to operate at a system level to help deliver an outstanding and responsive service for patients who are in need of psychological support and intervention in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic, across Kent and Medway.

Working with multi-agency partners the post holder will be expected to lead on the development of the Mental Health Wellbeing Hub, working with acute hospitals to ensure a presence.

As a key member of the Mental Health Wellbeing programme, the post holder will be expected to oversee the development of the Mental Health Wellbeing service, including the development of the operational and clinical models for this pathway.
