JOB PURPOSE:

The International Recruitment Team Leader will be responsible for the end to end recruitment process for overseas nurses' recruitment within the Trust.

Job holder will be responsible for delivering professional service and positive experience for candidates and all stakeholders throughout the recruitment, advertising, assessment and on-boarding process; maintaining both electronic and manual systems in conjunction with variety of administrative and ad-hoc activities.

Identifying suitably skilled, experienced and motivated mental health nurses for consideration. Co-ordinating interviews, preparing assessment tools, managing offer process, maintaining required standard and best practice throughout the recruitment process.

Engaging with international candidates in order to build relationships to support them through the recruitment process and provide support for the immigration and visa process and the appropriate clinical body registrations for the UK.

In addition work collaboratively with the existing Recruitment Team Leader to support the day-to-day supervision and operation of the Recruitment team, providing leadership and direction and ensuring the Recruitment process is carried out in a smooth and timely manner for the Trust. Provide information, advice and support to managers in order to facilitate the most efficient and effective resourcing of staff, ensuring that all proposals are consistent with legislation and meet the requirements of the customer.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

  • Stakeholder management - Partnering with Trusts; advising stakeholders on best practice approach, providing recruitment updates and attending stakeholder meetings as required.

  • Using available networks, social, digital and online media to promote, attract and engage with overseas audiences to inform and convert interest of suitable applicants in to applications.

  • Arranging and supporting assessment events; using online tools, standardised toolkits and the any necessary supporting material to provide a positive and effective process for panel members and candidates. Ensuring assessment events are populated with experienced, qualified and skilled candidates that will meet skill requirement with potential to meet overseas intake requirements.

  • Support supervision the Recruitment Team ensuring that day-to-day recruitment activity is carried out efficiently, liaising with managers directly when problems occur. To undertake appraisal, identifying training and development needs of staff and ensuring these are met. Ensure that there is continual planning and regular workload reviews within the team in order to meet Key Performance Indicators.

  • Deliver a timely and responsive service to managers ensuring effective relations are maintained. To support the Recruitment Manager on the provision of advice and support in relation to Recruitment. This includes advising managers on the recruitment process, using own initiative and judgement to ensure correct procedures are met. Alert managers to possible complications taking appropriate action to ensure a smooth and successful appointment.

  • To promote a positive, proactive approach to recruitment in the Trust, acting as an advocate for open, fair and transparent practices to ensure that the Trust operates best practice recruitment standards at all times.

  • Compile weekly and monthly reports to distribute to stakeholders including but not limited to HRBPs, Workforce and OD committee and the HR Director. Work with the Recruitment Manager to regularly review the information and adopt a process of continuous improvement.

  • Provide managers with prompt and pragmatic problem solving advice, with any issues escalated by the team being dealt with quickly and effectively.
  • Monitor the operation of the recruitment process ensuring compliance with equal opportunities, ensuring that it is non-discriminatory and that any issues of concern are raised with the Recruitment Manager/HR Advisor.

  • Take responsibility for co-ordinating the recruitment process from advertising to appointment in accordance with Trust recruitment policies and procedures and any legislative responsibilities. Identify to the Recruitment Manager any areas for improvement and/or appropriate action to be taken or commissioned.
