Job Description

Registered Nurse ( RMN / RNLD ) - An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or experienced RMN or RNLD ( Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse ) to work within a very positive, friendly and supportive specialist step down and rehabilitation service service for men and women living with a learning disability and / or autism and associated complex conditions such as personality disorder, mental health and forensic issues.
  • Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
  • Salary: £33,000 - £37,351 per annum ( up to £19 per hour ) - negotiable depending on your experience
  • Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours are available - you can choose depending on your preference
  • Shifts: Options of Days only or Nights only or Mixed shifts on a rotational basis - you can choose depending on your preference (12 hour shifts)

Hospital Details: The newly opened service consists of six bespoke, single-person apartments within a registered care setting with 24 hour nursing support. It provides a robust environment and high intensity care model which is designed to support people who have a Learning Disability & Autism with highly complex needs and behaviours that challenge, enabling them to live meaningful lives as active members of the community. This includes service users who may be stepping down from hospital or whose community placements have broken down. The aim of the service is to support people to move back to their home area and be closer to their families..

The Team: The Service has a full MDT (Multidisciplinary team) comprising of a Consultant, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, OT, Social Worker, Support and Administration Staff. The aim is to work as a close team providing a holistic range of assessments and treatments.

Preceptorship Programme: In the case of newly qualified nurses ( Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse ) , the Hospital offers a fantastic preceptorship programme. They have a good number of experienced staff to support and mentor newly qualified nurses.

Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Service offers a structured and thorough 2 week induction programme, which will include various training courses. Nurses will also have access to clear and structured development programmes where nurses can see clear pathways to progression within the hospital. Nurses will also have access to training opportunities to develop and enhance your nursing skills. Nurses will receive ongoing support from your Manager. Training and development is one of the major ethos' of the hospital. There are no limits to training and development as the service will fund any training course you would like to do that is relevant to your job role.
