Job Description

Clinical Nurse Manager - Mental Health / Brain Injury

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) or Learning Disability Nurse ( RNLD ) or Registered Adult Nurse ( RGN ) Full or Part Time. Located in Birmingham, this is a Specialist Nursing Home for adults with Mental-ill Health and Brain Injuries. Service users are cared for in one of 3 units depending on their unique needs. The salary on offer is up to £38,000 Per annum and is negotiable. We can offer both full and part time roles subject to preference
  • Service Type: Specialist Care Home for adults with Brain Injuries, Mental Health Issues and Physical Health Needs
  • Salary: £38000 per annum - negotiable depending on your experience
  • Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours are available - you can choose depending on your preference
  • Shifts: This role will require you to work 2 x 12 hour shifts per week, with the rest of your 40 hour week being supernumerary.

Further Details The Care Home is split into three 10-bedded units. The Care Home has a new Home Manager who is focused and driven about the home, he ensures that services users and all colleagues are given the best tools, surroundings and support to make every day better. He has provided stability to the service which is improving month on month. He's created a fresh dynamic within the team with a more supportive approach. He ensures regular supervisions take place for all colleagues and hold daily, weekly and monthly meetings for everyone so that all colleagues have the ability to express their views and suggestions. Consistency has been created by having nurses work on set floors and not across the whole home . We have a focus on enablement and recovery and have expanded to support seven people on an intensive recovery journey.

Preceptorship nurses : In the case of newly qualified nurses ( Mental Health Nurse , Learning Disability Nurse and/or Registered Adult Nurse ), the service offers a fantastic preceptorship programme. They have a good number of experienced staff to support and mentor newly qualified nurses.

Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Care Home offers a structured and thorough 2-week induction programme, which will include various training courses. The Home Manager is making sure that all nurses are able to support all of the needs of the Care Home by providing training to all of the nurses and ensuring they are supported with their competencies. Nurses will also have access to training opportunities to develop and enhance your nursing skills. The Home Manager is passionate about personal progression and development and fully recognises the effort of his colleagues. Nurses will have access to clear and structured development programmes where you can see clear pathways to progression within the Care Home.
