Job Description
Vacancies have arisen within the community Midwifrery tean on the Oxford Road Campus.
We are currently in the process of further developing our Continuity of Care teams, in line with recommendations from the Better Births report, providing care by a small team of midwives across the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period. We would therefore welcome applications from those interested in working in this manner in addition to those looking to work in a traditional community midwifery model.
We are looking for innovative, flexible midwives to work within our Continuity of Care teams providing care to women and families in both the Central Manchester and Salford area. You will work in a team of up to 8, caring for women from a diverse population across their pregnancy, labour and postnatal journey. Labour care is provided in a variety of settings including Home, Ingleside (Stand alone Birth Centre), Manchester Birth centre (co-located unit) and Central Delivery Unit at Oxford Rd Campus, in line with the woman's choice. You will work as an autonomous practitioner alongside the multi disciplinary team providing individualised, woman cemtred care. Experience in both a community and intrapartum setting is desirable.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £29.50(standard disclosure) or £47.50 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
