Job Description

As the Lead Theatre Practitioner, you will Responsible for the total nursing care of individual patients within the recovery area and ensure recovery criteria is adhered to before discharging patients.

In addition to this, you will also actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of a high standard of patient care.

This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week.

The attractive and competitive salary for this role is between £48,00 - £52,000 (with an additional 4% shift enhancement) and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Experience

Registered Nurse/ODP

Extensive demonstrable experience within a similar role

Management course/training desirable

Duties

To demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions

Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of post-operative patient care

Prepare patients and provide assistance for clinical/operative procedures

Provide clinical advice on to staff and maintain an appropriate learning environment

To co-ordinate staff and resources to meet departmental needs, within budget

To bear responsibility for equipment being in good working order

Co-ordinate the orientation of new staff, staff development and performance review
