A leading elderly and dementia nursing home in the Derry/Londonderry area is currently looking to recruit an RGN, RMN or RNLD Registered Nurse to join their team on full-time days.

The home is owned and operated by a leading national care group and provides round the clock care and support to older adults with a range of care and support needs, and this role will involve working on a specialist unit that caters to people living with dementia.

Details of this Staff Nurse role and what the home is offering:

• A permanent contract to work 38.5 hours per week on flexible day shifts covering a 7 day rota

• Industry leading pay rates of £19.80 per hour, which is in line with Band 7 pay rates and equates to a basic annual salary in the region of £39,640

• Fantastic overtime rates of £26.33 per hour

As Staff Nurse your duties will include all aspects of clinical care, including the administration and management of medications and the implementation and administration of care plans.

Applicants for this Staff Nurse position should meet the following criteria:

• NMC Registered Adult Nurse/RGN/RNA/RN1, Mental Health Nurse/RMN/RNA or Learning Disabilities Nurse/RNLD

• Demonstrate proven post-registration experience, ideally in an elderly care environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Committed to ensuring the highest standards of resident care and safety

• Confident coordinating and implementing care programmes

Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred but not essential, and our client can offer a comprehensive preceptorship programme to newly qualified nurses.
