Job Description

To be responsible for the leadership and overall management of the department, providing the highest standards of care and services.

Job Type: Full Time and permanent

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee and offer advice/support to the Sisters/Charge Nurses in their role as clinical leaders to ensure high quality individualised patient care.

Establish the components of Clinical Governance within the department according to the clinic strategy.

Identify, develop, and support staff training needs within your department in line with organisational objectives.

Ensure policies relevant to your area are set, reviewed, and updated and that all Clinic policies are adhered to by all members of staff within your sphere of influence.

Skills & Experience

RGN with valid NMC registration

Must have substantial experience in an acute surgical / Gynaecology setting

Excellent Clinical Skills

Strong Leadership Skills
