Occupational Health Specialist Lead Nurse – Cardiff – FT - £51k

OH417

We are working with an NHS trust to source an Occupational Health Specialist Lead Nurse to work on a full-time basis for the NHS in the Cardiff area.

This is a Band 8 role in which you will have a small clinical workload, provide leadership, and guide a multidisciplinary team, whilst supporting the OH Manager. The Occupational Health service conducts clinics at hospitals within the NHS trust in the Cardiff area.

Main duties of the role include:

• Case management.

• Health workplace initiatives.

• Represent the OH service at internal and external forums.

• Develop and maintain OH policies and Standard Operating procedures.

• Performance management of nursing team.

• Provide clinical supervision.

• Co-ordinate clinical audits.

• Leadership, advice, and support to OH nurses, screening nurses, and healthcare support workers.

• Assist the OH Manager.

• Attend key meetings representing Occupational Health within the trust.

Requirements of the role:

• Registration with NMC Part 3

• Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree or Diploma.

• Management training and experience.

• IT literacy and competence.

• Excellent knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation.

• Case Management experience.

• Full driving licence and own car.

An OH qualification and being registered on part 3 is essential for this role.

This is a full-time position where you will work Monday-Friday between 8am and 4-30pm. Although some flexibility may be required.

Salary is up to £51k per annum plus NHS benefits.
