A specialist mental health unit in Exeter currently has a vacancy for an RNLD/Learning Disabilities Nurse to join their multi-disciplinary team, ideally on a full-time basis.

The facility delivers acute adult mental health services to individuals suffering from significant mental health episodes and provides a safe and secure setting for therapeutic clinical service delivery and the opportunity for sustainable rehabilitation and recovery.

Details of this RNLD Staff Nurse position and what the unit is offering:

• A permanent contract to work full or part-time hours, with full-time contracts involving 3 X 12 hour shifts one week and 4 the next

• Shift patterns will include days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays to support the needs of a 24/7 clinical service

• A Band 5/6 equivalent salary in the region of £28,000 to £32,000 depending on experience, or the pro-rata equivalent for part-time hours

What we are looking for in a Nurse:

• NMC Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse/RNLD

• Ideally have previous experience in an adult mental health setting, however NQ RNs will be supported through a comprehensive preceptorship programme

• Confident working with service users who have challenging behaviours and complex needs
