Detailed job description and main responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • To work according to the national and local guidelines on immunisations
  • Efficiently support the Team lead and team to ensure a seamless delivery of the programme
  • Work closely with the Team Lead and local CSAIS teams to maximize uptake and promote the role of vaccination
  • To uphold the Trust values by demonstrating flexibility, dedication and care to team members and our service users and their families
  • Identify opportunities for meaningful involvement of service users and carers in relation to the development of immunisation service

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse or Midwife
  • Evidence of post registration continuing professional development
  • Current Registration with NMC
Desirable criteria
  • Degree or equivalent in Public Health
Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable post registration experience in a related area
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to alter and choose communications appropriate to their audience.
  • Experience of supervising and motivating a team
Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • In-depth knowledge of current local and national policies informing immunisation and public health Knowledge of clinical governance and its implications
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Children and adults
  • Willingness to work across the whole range of vaccines which are available across the life course, according to the current schedule for England
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of public health.

Essential criteria
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing service needs.
  • Creatively problem solve and address challenges in increasing vaccination uptake.
  • Support the team lead and wider leadership team
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
Other requirements

Essential criteria
  • Willingness to uphold the Trust and NHS values
  • Willingness to respond to needs across the service, including the main CSAIS programmes and geographical areas
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car to business use
