JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:
The Specialty Service Manager is responsible to the Director of Clinical Services/Registered Manager for the effective operational management of the Specialty Directorate, ensuring the delivery of high quality patient services within the resources allocated.
The post-holder is responsible for the management of all staff in the Specialty Directorate and will ensure that staff are managed in line with employment policies, Protocols and Procedures.
The Specialty Service Manager will provide leadership and direction to the respective Directorate, taking the lead from the Director for developing the strategy for the Directorate in line with the overall strategy and transformation programme. This will include playing a key role in identifying opportunities for clinical innovation and modernisation, the delivery of all operational performance targets, and financial management, ward and therapy management.
The Clinical Specialty Service Manager is responsible for maintaining and continually improving the quality of services to patients and redesigning services to meet best practice standards, improving efficiency and effectiveness within available resources.
The post-holder will be a leading change agent within the specialism in the transformation programme and will be responsible for securing the commitment of all staff in the Specialty Directorate to organisational change and continuous improvement.
This vacancy lies within a large private mental health / learning disabilities hospital based not from Fleet in North Hampshire. The hospital is also very close to the counties of Berkshire and Surrey.
The hospital in question provides a service for a variety of specific needs, including mental health and learning disability related illnesses, and has the facility to care for those detained under the mental health act.
