Kate Cowhig International Recruitment in partnership with a Leading London Hospital are seeing to recruit a Theatre Lead Practitioner - Spinal Surgery.

The high acuity of the surgery performed at this Hospital, and the care that is given in each of these specialties, means there are very complex procedures carried out within our operating theatres every day. This provides a surprisingly exciting and challenging environment.

Summary:

The Hospital has 7 Theatres, including two brand new state of the art integrated Theatres, providing the best technical equipment and working environment.
We are keen to talk to experienced surgical Lead Theatre Practitioners who are ready to contribute and develop their clinical leadership in this exciting environment. There is plenty of opportunity to develop your career and learn additional skills.
You must be able to demonstrate an ability to develop others and proactively control the environment, providing an excellent and skilled service to both the patients and the consultants.
This is a senior clinical position requiring talented leaders to manage and influence the complex care delivered within our Operating Theatres.

Requirements:

The post holder must have the relevant scrub skills in Spinal Surgery as well as some competence in our other key specialities which include Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Liver surgery, Spinal surgery, complex Urology, Cardiac, Gynaecology and General surgery.

RGN / RODP

UK Theatre experience is essential with a minimum of 2 years in a senior position.

The key requirements for the post are excellent clinical and organisational skills combined with good communication and inter-personal skills.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a desire to improve on their existing skill base and be able to add value to the department.

For the proactive candidate there are opportunities to develop both clinically and academically in an acute setting with ongoing training provided.

The role requires participation in an on-call rota.
