Kate Cowhig International Recruitment in partnership with it's client are seeking a Sister/Charge Nurse. This Private Hospital continues to invest in state-of-the-art facilities, departments and medical teams. The hospital has four operating theatres including two purpose built theatres for orthopaedics, each equipped with 'laminar flow' clean air system to minimise the risk of post operative infections. A high dependency/intensive care unit, staffed by a specialist team of nurses, is also available for post-surgery recovery if required.
The ideal candidate will provide clinical and managerial leadership in the absence of the Nurse Manager to both Medical and Surgical patients with complex care requirements covering a range of specialties including Colorectal, hepatobiliary and general medicine.
The Role:
· To provide clinical management and leadership to all staff working in the department, to ensure the delivery of high standard of nursing care at all times.
· To ensure all members of the multidisciplinary team work collaboratively to assess and meet the individual needs of the patient.
· To ensure effective skill mix and deployment of staff to meet the patients needs.
Requirements:
The suitable candidate will be a Registered Nurse with
NMC registration.
Experience in hepatobiliary, colorectal surgeries and general medicine would be ideal.
At least 3 years as a senior staff nurse in either speciality.
You should also have a Mentorship course.
For this role it is essential that you can demonstrate effective clinical, organizational and communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate a passion within this field.
