Development Manager –Hampstead, London- £30,000-£34,000– J6046JPJW

An exceptional opportunity has arisen with a small independent organisation which prides itself on offering progressive, voluntarily aided care for the elderly. Set a stones throw from Hampstead Heath, a tranquil gem in the heart of Britain’s largest city the home offers an opportunity to make a difference by aiding the development of other nurses under your supervision – a challenge considering the home has 56 nurses.

Prior experience working in learning and development is a major advantage; although nurses who have had prior experience of being in senior positions will be considered. It would be an excellent opportunity for a nurse who has spent time as an NVQ assessor or has held a teaching post.

Strong clinical standards are a prerequisite but if you love to be busy whatever you level of experience then please do not hesitate to apply. You will be required to be reasonably flexible with working times, take on nurse in charge shift duties and uphold clinical standards. The successful candidate will:

• Be a Registered General Nurse who has held a senior post in the past.
• Have Excellent Communication Skills
• Have a Friendly & Approachable Manner

It is Desirable but not essential that you have;

• Experience within Nursing Homes
• Experience within Elderly Care
• Ambition and Drive
• Have prior experience of working in a learning and development orientated role.
