In order to specialise in oncology nursing it is a requirement to undergo specialist training and gain valuable specific cancer treatment experience on top of the RGN qualification. Oncology nurses can find themselves working in a variety of settings, which may include hospitals, specialist cancer treatment centres and also in the patient’s own home.
