Leeds Metropolitan University
We offer a broad portfolio of courses in health and social care and related disciplines such as biological and social sciences. These range from professional entry level to postgraduate continuing professional development to PhDs. Whatever the course, we seek to develop research practitioners. We support diverse learning methods, such as e-learning and work-based learning, seeking to give students choice and enrich their experience wherever possible.
A number of our continuing professional development programmes may be accessed on a distance basis. Committed to diversity and a multicultural experience, we welcome applications from throughout the world and seek to create opportunities for our students to spend time overseas. Students also benefit from a wealth of staff international experience; colleagues in our Centre for Health Promotion (who teach widely across the Faculty) are renowned for their pioneering work in developing countries, particularly across sub-Saharan Africa. Our reputation is high with employers, professional bodies and other stakeholders, for the quality of graduates we produce, reflecting the attention we give to course development and delivery, in pursuit of the optimum student learning experience.
