Fantastic opportunity for experienced Oncology Nurse to join one of the UK’s leading private hospital groups.
Our client, an established, highly-reputable 140-bed private hospital in North-West London, is currently urgently seeking a Lead Oncology Nurse to assist with the co-ordination of cancer services within the hospital and head up its provision of oncology nursing services.
Working within the hospital’s busy Oncology unit which specialises in day case and outpatient oncology treatments and incorporates a specialist fast-track breast clinic, the post holder will have direct clinical contact with patients and provide support to both patients and families when a diagnosis of cancer is known.
In addition, the successful candidate will act as staff resource facilitator, utilising his/her knowledge and experience within this specialist field to help identify and meet the educational needs of staff within the hospital in relation to oncology and breast care.
Applicants should be RGN’s with minimum two years’ experience of working within a Senior Nurse position relating to care of patients with cancer. Excellent counselling skills are essential, as are up-to-date phlebotomy and cannulation skills.
Candidates should also have significant experience of administering chemotherapy, which should be supported by an N59/equivalent accreditation.
