Our client, an impressive, modern, purpose-built Treatment Centre in Nottingham with state-of-the-art facilities, currently has an excellent opportunity for RGN’s to work within its expanding Day Surgery Unit.

The centre is the largest Independent Sector Treatment Centre in the UK and provides care to over 100,000 NHS patients annually. The ideal candidates must have experience in working in a ward area and to be prepared to take on greater responsibility within the unit. You should possess good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of quality care within the multi-disciplinary team.

My Client has posts available in recovery and scrub covering the following specialities: Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Pain management and General Surgery.

Working Monday to Friday and occasionally Saturday in the Day Surgery Unit, post-holders will be expected to assist in the development of the Day Case service and assess, plan, implement and evaluate patients’ health care needs, ensuring the very highest levels of clinical standards and patient care are met at all times.

Applications from newly qualified Nurses are welcome and Nurses with post qualification experience, along with excellent communication and team-working skills and a commitment to CPD.

A good working knowledge of surgery and/or experience of working in a day surgery setting is preferable, however is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided. Ideal candidates will have experience in pre operative assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating care for Day Surgical patients and a broad experience of surgical conditions.
