Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England
Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with our client, North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, are looking for Band 5 Nurses for Medical & Surgical roles
The North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is currently the newest acute hospital trust in England. Formed on 1 April 2017, the trust runs three busy hospitals – Peterborough City Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Stamford and Rutland Hospital. Together they serve approximately Apply residents living in Cambridgeshire, South Lincolnshire and the neighbouring counties.
The hospital sites offer a wide variety of acute services to a growing population. All three sites deliver inpatient and outpatient services. The specific details of each site are listed below:
Peterborough City Hospital
Peterborough City Hospital is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art hospital that opened in 2010 and brought a range of new services to patients, including a Radiotherapy Unit, an Emergency Centre with a separate children’s emergency department, a dedicated Women’s and Children’s unit, an expanded cardiac unit, a new respiratory investigations facility and an additional MRI scanner. Inpatients at the 635-bed hospital are cared for on modern wards with either single rooms with ensuite facilities or three or four-bedded ward areas, each with their own bathroom. This year the hospital has expanded further, by opening an expanded renal unit offering 12 additional dialysis stations and installing a third radiotherapy machine in its cancer services unit.
Hinchingbrooke Hospital is a district general hospital providing health care for the people of Huntingdonshire and surrounding areas. It opened in 1983, although some departments moved on site from the Huntingdon County Hospital several years before. The hospital provides a wide range of specialties, some in conjunction with Addenbrooke’s and Peterborough Hospitals. Patients can access a wide range of specialties, including General Surgery, Ear, Nose and Throat, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology, Vascular, Plastics, Breast Surgery and Gynaecology. The hospital has 304 beds, plus the Mulberry Suite which is available for private patients. Adjacent to the site is a 23-bed Treatment Centre, which is a £22 million unit that opened in 2005.
Positions are available in either Hinchingbrooke Hospital or Peterborough City Hospital, relocation package available.
