We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate, or soon-to-qualify Staff Nurse to join the Respiratory High Dependency Unit team based at our clients facility within the grounds of the local NHS Acute Trust site in Redhill, Surrey .
This purpose-built specialist unit is a joint Private-NHS facility as a satellite to a major NHS central London NHS Trust providing inpatient care for those failing to wean from invasive ventilation fin addition to investigating chronic respiratory failure resulting from a variety of causes such as: COPD, neuromuscular disease, chest wall disease, and chronic respiratory failure.
A fully-supported Preceptorship programme is available and an excellent start to a Nurses career into Critical Care.
The Unit comprises 20 beds all equipped to level three with a 2:1 patient to nurse ratio.
This is a full-time permanent post, but we are open to hearing from applicants seeking to negotiate a part-time opportunity; however, fixed hours cannot be guaranteed.
Unsocial hours are paid at 30% 18:00-06:00 weeknights/Sat, 60% Sundays/Bank Holidays.
In addition to core hours, there is an opportunity for additional Bank shifts, payable at between £23.00-£28.00 per hour.
Person requirements :
Registered (Adult/General) Nurse, registered with, or soon to become NMC registered.
Respiratory-specific placement experience and a genuine desire to develop further are particularly welcome to apply.
We are able to consider candidates requiring a Certificate of Sponsorship however it is a condition that you already hold full NMC registration.
EU Nurses completing their NMC registration via the EEA route have the potential to commence employment as a Healthcare Assistant pending completion of registration.
