Are you an experienced practitioner looking for a change and a better work life balance? If so we have an exciting opportunity based in Hitchin to train and qualify as a Disability Assessor as part of a successful integrated team.
Our Client, The Centre for Health and Disability Assessments conducts disability assessments on behalf of Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Their practitioner group includes nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and doctors.
Your primary role will be to conduct medical assessments and examinations and produce concise reports for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) as part of a successful integrated team
Starting salary: £41,000 per annum + benefits
Performance related pay – progression through learning and accreditation
• At the 9-month mark, performance related (productivity / quality dependent) a £1000 increase will be put in place
• At the 18-month mark, performance related (productivity / quality dependent) a further £1000 increase will be made
Hours: Standard work pattern 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
All applicants must possess a minimum of two years or more post registration experience gained in a variety of clinical settings in addition to full unconditional registration with the NMC or HCPC.
All practitioners who start in the role begin with a month’s initial training to enable you to join a multidisciplinary team of disability analysts within your local medical centre. This is a job that requires you to objectively assess individuals utilising your clinical expertise and to display resilience in what can be a challenging, public facing role.
Successful candidates are able to demonstrate commercial acumen, the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.
